River Lake Armory

Greetings, welcome, and thank you for taking the time to learn about River Lake Armory. My name is Dan Wehrle. I got into the business due to my enthusiasm for firearms, shooting, and sharing of knowledge. Since about age 10 I started out shooting like most youths with BB guns. Later in life I was able to get access to my grandfather's Winchester Model 90 in .22 short. It was a wonderful pump action long gun that I shot for years and still shot it to this day from time to time. A long time friend of mine and I would go to the quary in our area and shoot and shoot and shoot. If we ever meet in person or talk on the phone, remember to ask me about the story of the two of us shooting at an arrow sticking up out of the ground.

As a teen, my grandfather also had a lever action Winchester model 1886 long gun chambered in .33 WCF. I was sadden to learn back then, that they no longer made ammunition for it, so I never got to shoot it as a youngster. Later in life, I inherited my families' guns and I was hell bent to shoot my grandfather's Winchester. I still couldn't find any ammunition for it so I decided to learn to make my own. Once I started down that path, things just flowed into a direction to where I opened a small gun shop. Not only did I want to get into the business but it also serves a purpose of being a retirement plan. Slowly over the years, it has expanded and grown. It is still a small shop, but just right for a 1 man show. Currently the shop is located in beautiful Lake of the Ozarks area in Missouri.

As a small shop, Service is Priority. I don't really have any set hours. If I'm available then I'm open. Just call and come on by or we can set up an appointment to meet.

Some of the products and services I offer are not only firearm sales, but reloading supplies, shooting classes, firearm repair & gunsmithing, firearm cleaning, custom ammunition building, custom 1911, custom AR15, and of course firearm transfers.
I also offer consignment sales for your firearms or related items. Bring them in and I'll take care of everything for you. I can sell them in the shop, at gunshows, and/or if you wish to sell them on websites like Gunbroker and others, I can do that as well. Check out transfers and consignment information here.
